White River – Mopani Pharmacy recently unveiled a new concept of marketing and a very first in the pharmaceutical industry in South Africa.
Founder and Managing Director of Mopani Pharmacy, Mr Rob Gibbs, together with his fantastic marketing team, came up with a revolutionary idea of bringing categorized short films to their customers. This would then be played throughout their Mopani outlets on monitors representing their unique customer experiences on offer when visiting any of their Mopani outlets with the Crossing Centre being the hub. The hope of these short films are then that it would be displayed in the near future on much larger external platforms to the community and surroundings. Watch this space… (nudge-nudge wink-wink)
The success of these short films and the launch of it, held at the Casterbridge Cinema in White River, was down to all the hard work and effort put in by Mopani staff whom actually acted in all the films, said Mr Rob Gibbs.
This launch was then – and to the surprise of all the staff attending – a mini “Mopani OSCARS” with awards and recognition going to some of the actors and actresses. The categories for winners were the same as the famous OSCARS we all know of Hollywood like “Best Actor in a Leading Role” or “Best picture” and was handed out after some careful voting and deliberation with some coming down to the wire with single votes being the decider.
