Pencil the Local Gospel Skouspel into your diary on 10 March 2017 at Manna Christian Fellowship outside Nelspruit for one of the biggest local gospel shows that the Lowveld has ever seen. So, put on your dancing shoes and make sure you get to Manna at 18h30 – tickets are R100 for adults and R20 for children under 18 years.
Marinda Toerien had a vision in 2011 to start a gospel show to showcase local talent. The first show was in 2012 where they already attracted over 400 supporters. And since then this show has just grown, in 2015 they had about 1400 people attending this spectacle. All the artists are locals from surrounding areas in the Lowveld. The likes of lawyers, teachers, dentists, to name a few are there to share their gospel passion. “You can’t believe the talent that we have right under our noses, it is hair raisingly beautiful,” says Marinda Toerien, organiser of this show.
All the funds goes towards Children in Distress, which is a non-profit organisation that feeds over 3420 children, adult caregivers, child headed homes and European families a day. Last year they managed to raise just over R80 000 for this charity.
